From a seated position, players propel balls to land close to a white marker ball (jack). Two sides compete as individuals, pairs or teams of three over a set number of ends. The tactics of the sport offer both tension and excitement as the game plays out.What makes us unique?Boccia England is uniquely placed to make a massive difference to the lives of so many people who otherwise would not have access to the benefits sport can bring. Boccia is a totally inclusive sport and can be played by anyone regardless of age, gender, ability or disability.+ Boccia is the only sporting option for many severely disabled and older people with limited motor skills+ Boccia is simple to introduce and is easily adaptable within a social environment+ Boccia is a low-cost sport so accessible to many+ Boccia England has a strong committed based of volunteersNew support networks are created at boccia events where individuals feel more comfortable in themselves and can speak to others who understand their daily challenges.
