The ever rising demand for more and better food production and the intensive use of the land for living and infrastructure has diminished the natural wildlife in The Netherlands. Especially wildlife and biodiversity is under constant pressure. More vulnerable species are disappearing from the Dutch landscape while some species are becoming a pest. Those species are consuming living space of the vulnerable species, are the cause of enormous crop damages and a burden for road safety. There is a necessity for intense management of those species. Boerema & van den Brink are one of the few consultancy organisations involved in writing wildlife management plans for (example) deer management plans and geese management.
