Originally from Northern Italy, the DaLozzo family have been involved in the ice cream and gelati industry since the 1960s. Immigration dispersed the DaLozzo brothers across two continents. Reunited in Australia during the 1980s, the DaLozzo family and the next generation opened and operated one of Melbourne's first traditional Italian gelatarias located on Melbourne's iconic Chapel Street strip. The gelataria enjoyed a reputation for manufacturing and serving the latest European flavours at that time.\\Since then, the DaLozzo family have continued their involvement in Melbourne's business community, predominantly in the manufacture of food and consumer goods.
