BoneTag is a french start-up, based in Montpellier, which develops a unique and universal medical electronic implant.The BoneTag implant is intended to be placed in orthopaedic implants, in order to :1. Ensure an identification and an in vivo traceability of orthopaedic implants, thanks to the use of passive RFID technology (RadioFrequency Identification)2. Monitor the behaviour of orthopaedic implants along their life-time, thanks to the integration of sensors into the RFID chip.3. Create an international register of orthopaedic implants throughout the world, thanks to an international database.
