"Adventure" is the true heart of innovation and the "bootstrap" manifesto in working with food. We aim to work with food adventurers across retail & foodservice, who are still in "survival" mode looking to get their business to the next leg or challenge of their journey. Likely your business is a few years out from being able to lease that new wire-cut line or VFFS line in your production facility or to be able outfit each of your chain QSR stores with the latest and greatest turbo convection oven. That's the spirit of "bootstrapping" — learning to work with what you already got and what is available around you.The "bootstrap" process starts from the inside out. Many of our tenets are seemingly contrary to "classical" marketing approaches. We look at your business, your brand, your product, your packaging, your menu, your labor, your equipment, your customers, your trusted suppliers, your profitability, your goals and aspirations to understand if & how we can help. Our goal is to work with you & your team to decide how to much you want us to help and what you may want and already capable of doing on your own. Should we find ourselves unable to help you, chances are we know a friend who might be able to. In the end, what we hope to build is an collective (a co-operative, if you will) of individuals, small businesses, suppliers, operators, chefs, scientists, marketers, regional restaurants, buyers, & brands, entrepreneurs, bootstrappers & adventurists with collective wealth of industry knowledge and two fists full of passion. Many of our partners have day jobs but share commitment for our mission and vision. We like to take chances, we hope you do to.
