Our mission at Bossy Betsy is to bring our clients order and organization in the chaotic world of event planning. Why should being called "bossy" be a bad thing? We believe that being called "bossy" describes someone who is enthusiastic, involved, in control and doesn't mind leading! At Bossy Betsy we bring our passion for details and design and our determination for perfection to every consultation. Our promise is to maintain control of our clients' vision so they can stay smiling and worry free on their big day.Nicknamed "Bossy Betsy" by her father at a young age because of her ever present desire to be in control, Erin Elizabeth King has hospitality in her blood. A Charlottesville, Va. native and a born foodie with a chef as a father; Erin grew up in the restaurant business and has been working in the front of house since she was 16. Erin attended Radford Univ., where she graduated in 2005 with a degree in Interior Design/Merchandising/ Art.Erin's experience includes employment at L'Auberge Provençale, where she was able to combine her passion for hospitality and design while overseeing everything from the daily operations to marketing, wedding planning and branding. In 2011 Erin returned to Charlottesville and worked briefly in Catering & Sales at the Boar's Head Inn. This experience enhanced her knowledge of corporate and conference style events. In 2013 Erin was able to merge her passion for hospitality with her professional experience with and insight of the local event scene at Commonwealth Restaurant & Skybar as well as assist with the opening of Commonwealth Reserve. Erin joined the team at Feast! in 2015 and is responsible for Catering & Gift Box sales, as well as, social media, marketing.In the summer of 2016, Erin took her passion for event planning solo and founded Bossy Betsy Events.
