What is GridClub? • A fully interactive, animated learning website, with innovative design and a fun approach to learning designed with primary school children in mind. • Totally flexible, GridClub suitable for use in schools and at home. • Built initially for 5 to 12 year olds it is relevant and enjoyed by children and adults, with so much open-ended learning to offer inquisitive, game-oriented learners. • Also incorporates LittleGrid, which presents activities designed for 5 to 7 year olds. • GridClub has over 500 fully interactive games and activities in all subjects across the curriculum • Teachers' notes and references, lesson plans and thousands of downloadable worksheets. The site is used in over 4,000 schools in the UK and is updated regularly. The high-energy interactive design is welcoming, stimulating and motivating. Every activity is underpinned by curriculum links and references. The site is designed to appeal directly to children as much as teachers, parents and carers. It is self-directed learning if you want it to be but there are also teacher guide materials. The site is very popular at home and offers excellent homework opportunities. We have set out the curriculum underpinning it in some detail and added lesson plans and worksheets in the teachers' area (currently UK based but more Australian content will be added over time). Primary schools, libraries, homes and special schools will all find huge appeal in aspects of the site.
