Non-Profit - Grand Rapids, MI, US
Every child has oodles of potential and at Boys & Girls Clubs of Grand Rapids, we provide programs, opportunities and experiences that open the door to brighter futures for the youth of our community. We were founded in 1938 by the Grand Rapids Police Department, and they have been, and continue to be, a vital part of our organization. Our four locations: Camp O'Malley, the Paul I Philips Club, the Seidman Club and the Steil Club, are places where children discover their unlimited potential surrounded by mentors who believe in them. We offer a wide range of programs, so there's something for everyone, and each day is filled with learning, playing and just plain fun. Oh, and food. We can't forget the food. Every day, we serve a hot meal as well as a snack, to each child, because food is fuel and all of the learning and playing takes energy. We strive to enable all young people to reach their full potential and want to be accessible to everyone, so we only charge $5 per child per year. That includes everything...all programming, meals and FUN.
