For the Boys & Girls Clubs here in Perth Amboy, there is one persistent dream – a world where every child is given the opportunity to succeed in life and experience a brighter future. We serve with one purpose – to inspire and enable young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. Established by the Jewish Renaissance Foundation, one of New Jersey's most established nonprofit corporations, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Perth Amboy is a part of a unified nationwide affiliation of more than 4,000 Clubs who in all 50 states (and Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands) serve over 4 million children and youth everyday. MISSION: To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.GOALSTo provide high-quality educational and enrichment programs that will enable participants to improve academic achievement, and promote positive behavior and appropriate social interaction with peers. To implement activities that promotes parental involvement and provides opportunities for literacy and related educational development to the families of participating students. To measure participants' progress and program effectiveness through monitoring and evaluating.Core Elements: Safe Place for Kids, Life Enhancing Programs, Relationships with Caring & Professionals, and Hope & Opportunity for Brighter Futures!We now operate out of 3 sites: AUL Unit, Carteret Unit, & Cooke Avenue UnitHours of operation at all sites are primarily 2:45 p.m. to 7 p.m., with slight variations site to site.
