Penny Mericle, D.M.D., M.S.D and Samantha R. Abod, D.M.D., M.M.P.H are true specialists in orthodontic care. They and their staff of accomplished orthodontic assistants and technicians, have more than 175 years of experience providing friendly and expert care to children and adults. The Brace Place provides unrivaled orthodontic care to families in PA communities such as Wyoming, Kingston, Dallas, Mountain Top, Wilkes-Barre, Nanticoke, Shickshinny, Pittston, Exeter, Wyoming, Duryea and Dupont. Dr. Mericle loves smiles. She is a native of Northeast PA and has been providing quality care to her patients since founding The Brace Place in 1987. She graduated from Meyers High School and received a B.S. in Pharmacy and a D.M.D. degree in dentistry from Temple University and a M.S.D. in orthodontics from St Louis University. Dr. Abod ("Dr. Sam") is also a native of Northeast PA having grown up at Harvey's Lake. She is a graduate of Bishop O'Reilly High School and earned her D.M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh where she studied biochemistry and also earned a Certificate in Orthodontics and Masters in Public Health. Dr. Sam is a specialist in clear orthodontic aligner technology like Invisalign and Clear Correct. Dr. Mericle and Dr. Sam know that everyone's smile is different, so they create customized, easy-to-follow plans for their patients.
