Brandywine Roller Derby is Chester County's first, and only, all-women, skater-owned, flat track roller derby league. We adhere to the rules of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), a national governing body for female-only, skater-owned, flat-track roller derby leagues. Started in the fall of 2010 by a small group of women (and a few fellas), the league is now composed of more than 40 regular skaters with fresh meat skaters joining regularly. The skaters practice weekly at the Chester County Sports Arena in Downingtown, PA.Our skaters are 18+ years of age with no upper age limit. We have many skaters in their late 30's, 40's and even 50's who skate with us. We are everyday, professional, strong women who secretly walk among the masses. We are mothers, students, teachers, executives, and business owners. And we all share one thing in common: our love of roller derby.We strive to develop women of strength, athleticism and passion to play the hard-hitting sport of roller derby on the flat track. We are dedicated to serving our community through volunteerism, activities, and charity partnerships. We are members of Chester County Chamber of Commerce.
