Brazilidade is a community-based organization based in the Santa Marta favela in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil driven to improve the lives of those living in underprivileged communities in Rio de Janeiro.We strive to create access to resources for individuals in our community, which will provide long-term socio-economic opportunities. We do this by dispelling the myth about "Favelas" (or poor communities) within and outside of Brazil and providing opportunities for others to partner with us to achieve our goals. We do this by creating after school programs for the Youth in the Santa Marta favela. We aim to destigmatize the misconceptions associated with favelas and to drive people away from violence. With guidance and resources, we will pave a path towards greater opportunity and develop economic sustainability.
