BREAK THE SILENCE is an independent charity established to provide a range of free and confidential support services to survivors (13+) of rape and childhood sexual abuse. We also support survivor partners and family members and can arrange couple counselling. Based at 16 College Wynd, Kilmarnock, we also have outreach facilities throughout East & North Ayrshire. Break the Silence offers a range of counselling services together with complementary therapies which enhance the counselling process. We offer group-work and sessions to enhance confidence, self-esteem, etc. Break the Silence delivers high-quality training on signs & symptoms of sexual abuse/rape; how to handle disclosure; the impact of trauma on the brain and much more.
