Wine & Spirits - Bream Creek, Tasmania, Australia
Overlooking the breathtaking seascape of Marion Bay and Maria Island in South Eastern Tasmania, Bream Creek Vineyard is one of the pioneers of the modern Tasmanian wine industry. The vineyard was planted in 1974, making it one of the earliest commercial vineyards established in Tasmania, and was purchased in 1990 by Fred Peacock, one of Tasmania's leading viticulturists. Fred's priority was to increase Pinot Noir plantings and introduce Sauvignon Blanc and Schönburger (a very rare German grape). Bream Creek Vineyard produces wines that are renowned as complex and elegant. Since 1990, Bream Creek Vineyard has won 38 trophies and over 920 show medals, a reflection of the meticulous care and attention given to all aspects of the vineyard.
