Breast Cancer Foundation of Central Florida (BCFCF) provides resources and support for local individuals and families impacted by breast cancer. Our organization is modeled after the successful work made by the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks (BCFO), our sister chapter in southwest Missouri. BCFO was founded by Mary Beth O'Reilly in 2000 and currently provides help and hope to thousands of families living and working in the Ozarks.BCFCF routinely provides short-term, non-medical financial assistance to patients who are currently undergoing breast cancer treatments and demonstrate financial need.BCFCF reaches out to the communities it serves through breast cancer education and awareness initiatives. Through speaking engagements, health fairs, and web-based resources, BCFCF works to share both the facts and the myths about breast cancer. BCFCF spreads the word that breast cancer can affect all ages.Our efforts include:-Advocating for issues not currently focused on by other area resources-Promoting breast cancer awareness for those under 40-Increase awareness of treatment options and resources for all stages of breast cancer-Soliciting support of donors and volunteers from our local community to raise funds and share our story
