Performing Arts - Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Breathe.Feel.Love is a burgeoning theatre company based in Toronto, Ontario. Breathe.Feel.Love's mandate has always focused on creating superb theatrical and musical events that engage directly with local LGBT and independent arts communities. Since 2012, the company's three permanent partners are Seth Drabinsky, Jeremy Knowles and Tim Lindsay with a rotating lineup of other independent Canadian artists contributing their talents to performing in and making the company's shows a reality.Breathe.Feel.Love started with an ambitious Canadian tour of John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask's cult-classic rock musical Hedwig & The Angry Inch in 2010, which visited cities across Ontario and Manitoba. It took on the challenge of presenting the show in venues of widely varying size and shape – those usually suited for rock bands but not conventional spaces for a theatrical show – such as Velvet Underground in Toronto, the Rainbow Bistro in Ottawa and Kilroy's in Thunder Bay. The unqualified success of this venture at Winnipeg's Pyramid Cabaret led to a re-mount in that space during the 2011 Winnipeg Fringe Festival – a sold-out smash success – in addition to a very well-received one-night engagement at Montreal's Le National, and a unique outdoor performance on the main stage of Ottawa's Capital Pride Festival. Most recently BFL had a very successful sold-out 3 week run in Toronto at the Drake Underground. BFL is currently looking a head to future projects
