Brevard Ballet Youth Company is a community-funded non-profit 501(c)3 organization and the associate production company of Brevard Ballet Academy. Our mission is to provide performance opportunities to local young dancers in a professional setting and educate and entertain the community through the arts.In 2015, Elena Shokhina, Founder and Artistic Director, was interviewed by Florida Today where she laid out her vision to grow her faculty, her facilities, and her student base in order to support a youth company. After growing her student enrollment to nearly 200 students, her faculty to nine professional teachers, and adding 3,000 square feet to her facility, her hard work paid off when she founded the Brevard Ballet Youth Company in 2018. Elena had the vision and experience to produce several magnificent full-length ballet productions, which include My Christmas Dream, Cinderella, and The Nutcracker Ballet.
