Majority of working life spent in the NHS in Yorkshire, including 14 years as a GP in Bradford. Having moved into management, I am currently the Medical Director of an NHS trust which provides mental health and community health services across Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven. My remit includes accountability for quality and safety, research, clinical audit and the performance management of doctors. I am also a trustee of Reading Matters , a charity supporting young people to reach their potential by becoming confident and enthusiastic readers.
