Media Production - Port of Spain, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago
At Bright Eyed we create engaging products for children that support literacy, learning and development. Our material spans various types of media with a focus on diversity, multiculturalism, gender roles, the environment and inclusivity. We want underserved audiences to see themselves represented and mainstream audiences to have an opportunity to learn more about different people, places and cultures.Founded in 2014, Bright Eyed Foundation (formerly ESPjr) became a registered non-profit in July 2019. Our journey into the children's edutainment field began with the production of a baby onesie and kids t-shirt line featuring Caribbean characters called "Island Babies" and has since evolved into a range of kids merchandise that spans various types of media. Our mission is to produce fun, high-quality original content for children that focuses on literacy, reflects different experiences, feeds curiosity, develops empathy, and provides accurate information in a creative way. Our material spans various types of media with a focus on diversity, inclusivity, disabilities, multiculturalism, gender roles and the environment. Whether creating for Caribbean or international audiences, we use localized characters and settings to spark children's curiosity, harnessing the power of seeing themselves in the story to create a new, deeper learning experience. Our targeted content helps kids learn, and leverages their learning to change their lives. We want underserved audiences to see themselves represented and mainstream audiences to have an opportunity to learn more about different people, places and cultures. There is a growing international trend towards diversity in mainstream media; All of our material is crafted with this far-reaching diversity purpose in mind to tell rich stories that connect with children.
