The Bristol Festival Community Group is set up to support and promote Arts, Music and Culture in Bristol and the South West, whilst aiding personal development by offering work experience and training to local volunteers, helping many people into work each year. Brisfest:The planning of a high profile festival event to increase exposure for local artists across a spectrum of disciplines.We aim to promote the weekend showcase of local creativity on a national level, increasing the region's tourism and business opportunities, thus also providing a boost to the local economy.We offer industry work experience through our mentoring and skill swap programs to increase employment prospects of local volunteers. Many of the areas are organised by inexperienced volunteers paired up with mentors, in order to gain experience in the events and music industry.
