Educational outreach project with volunteer students from the University of Bristol. Giving children the opportunity to learn about dinosaurs and other extinct life from real palaeontologists, and get a hands-on educational experience with real fossils from the UK and abroad. Our workshops open up ideas to get children more interested in potential futures in science. We also provide insights into the palaeontological world for all public audiences, whether it be at large scale events such as the Bristol Festival of Nature, or smaller scale events such as guest talks. We have also provided support for Bristol Zoo Gardens during their summer dinosaur events in 2012, 2013, and 2017. Twice a year we work with Bristol Museum during their "Dino Takeover" weeks, inviting schools to explore special activities in the museum with our palaeontologists.Previously funded by the National Lottery, the project lead research into Thecodontosaurus, the Bristol Dinosaur. This culminated in the building of a life-sized, scientifically accurate reconstruction of the dinosaur by Bob Nichols, which can now be seen in the Bristol Museum, and Wills Memorial Building. We have been featured on BBC Radio Bristol, BBC Points West, Made In Bristol TV, the Bristol Post, ITV News, and Bristol 24/7
