Britannia was established under the Private University Act 2010 duly approved by the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC) and the Ministry of Education, Government of the Peoples' Republic of Bangladesh on 16th November, 2012 for awarding degrees in various fields.The Britannia University focuses on the quality of the student experience; innovative curricula are designed to meet the market needs in today's rapidly evolving and technologically advanced world. It is modeled on British & North American Universities. The curricula of each program proposed by BU are reviewed by the experts of UGC and then duly approved by UGC. The curricula are regularly reviewed and updated to include latest developments in each area of study and adapted to the current requirements and local needs. BU open a program only after due approval by UGC.
