Through the BABC, members have the opportunity to develop valuable business contacts within the British American community and to exchange ideas and information with a cross section of business, trade and governmental interests. British companies have a strong connection to the Greater Philadelphia region and of over 500 international companies in the region, more than a third are British-owned. Across the Atlantic, most major American businesses have divisions or subsidiaries in Great Britain.The BABC is a chapter of the British American Business Inc (www.babc.org), a network of over 30 British American Business Associations and Chambers of Commerce located across the US and the UK. The BABC represents a total membership of over 4,000 British and American companies in the US and the UK that are actively engaged in transatlantic trade and investment.Located in Center City Philadelphia, the BABC is an affiliate of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and is supported by major businesses in the region. Currently, the BABC has a membership of over 250 companies and individuals that have businesses in the region.
