About usThe British Council for School Environments (BCSE) is the UK's leading charity in education, design and construction. We are quite unique in that we are an educational charity and membership organisation made up of schools, local authorities, and companies. Founded in 2006, we have a rapidly growing membership, who are all involved in designing, building and transforming schools, colleges and other learning environments. All of our members are passionate about creating excellent learning environments in the UK and world wide. BCSE, as an independent body, acts as a forum for exchange, dialogue and advocacy for anyone interested in learning environments. We offer insight and new thinking about schools and learning environment design and construction as well as a unique opportunity to connect you with others who you can support, learn with or further your business. We invest our efforts into activities that benefit you, your organisation and the wider programme of improving our school estate. Our reach is substantial; from educators to policy makers, users to designers, managers to constructors, voluntary to multinationals, councillors to national politicians, pupils to professors.
