It is OEM of Tafe, Escort, Hindustan Motors & Eicher Motors. BMC is North India distributors of Escort Tractors, TAFE Tractors and GM Opel Astra Automobiles, with showrooms across New Delhi, Haryana & Punjab in Northern India. BMC's global trading arm, M/S BMC International Pvt. Limited, is prominent exporter of Aftermarket Parts, Engineering Goods & Knitwear to Australia, Mid East, US & Europe. It forayed into many projects for joint ventures with Nike & Adidas of Germany and Molbro, Kongskilde & Bonus Windmills of Denmark. It was established as unlisted public limited company incorporated on 23 March, 1934 with Rs. 2,00,00,000 paid up capital and registered office at Pratap Building, Connaught Circus, New Delhi. Traditionally, it imported & distributed cars & tractors across Northern India. Under leadership of its demised CMD, Mr. Siddharth Pratap Chand, a chemical engineering graduate from I.I.T. Delhi, group expanded & diversified. Then since 2016, family sold off most of the businesses to consolidate.In 1980's, it had set up showrooms across New Delhi, Haryana & Punjab for distribution of GM Opel Astra Automobiles and Escort & TAFE Tractors and farm equipment.In 1990's, Mr. Chand, had set up factories for LCV & Tractors industry, to manufacture world-class quality gears in Dewas (Indore) in Madhya Pradesh & engine parts in Jalandhar in Punjab. BMC was most preferred OEM for Tafe, Escort, Hindustan Motors & Eicher Motors until its manufacturing facilities merged with Eicher Motors completely after demise of its CMD, Mr. S. P. Chand. In same period, the group established successful aftermarket automotive brand called BMC, for its own manufactured & outsourced automotive transmission gears, mobile oil & engine parts that were also exported by BMC International Private Limited.
