OverviewBroken Crown Games is an independent video game development studio with a focus on making hard sci-fi video games, with an expressed goal of S.T.E.M. outreach through entertainment.Studio OriginsOur humble origins can be traced back to a simple turn-based game prototyped out in Microsoft Excel created by owner, Tyler Yohe, when he was applying to PhD programs in Astrobiology. When the game mechanics from the Excel game were combined with a story driven from that Astrobiology background, the Broken Crown series was born.LocationThough officially we are based out of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, we are actually a virtual studio, allowing us to pick up quality volunteers for our development team from all over the country. In order to get the science in our story correct, we have also garnered advice from scientists based all around the globe.
