Broken Timbers Honey LLC came into conception while I was on a deployment to Iraq. My father messaged me and informed me that he has a feral colony of bees in the side of his house that he did not want to destroy. After a few hours of discussion we decided that we would extract it and keep it. That was the day I began countless hours of research.When I returned from my tour in July of 2007, I decided to wait until all preparations had been made for the extraction were complete. In April 2008 we set out to extract that colony. It did not turn out as planned but we succeeded! For a beginner beekeeper, it was an experience that had made my mind up for me. Time to get more bees!
