We are an established provider with 20 years' experience in ITT. We offer practical training in outstanding schools, with experienced practitioners to mentor you through the course. Our schools offer excellent opportunities for future employment with over 60% of trainees appointed to their first teaching post in a partnership school. For the academic year 2012/13 100% of our trainees secured their first teaching post. Trainees are based in two schools within the consortium, observing lessons and gradually building up to planning and teaching lessons themselves. Trainees attend weekly Professional Studies sessions to support their work towards academic assignments and to consider the practical application of theory to teaching and learning. The Training Programme is personalised to meet individual needs and all trainees are fully supported by both the central office and the placement schools. Trainees are required to build an E-portfolio which records their professional and subject knowledge development in order to demonstrate that all Standards required for Qualified Teacher Status have been met. Successful candidates will be required to demonstrate: That they have no criminal or other convictions that might prevent them from working with children That they are physically and mentally fit to teach and are capable or undertaking a course of study to become a qualified teacher That they are able to travel to and between our partner schools for placements and training sessions. Entry requirements are: A good degree at 2.2 or above (preferably at least 50% related to the Secondary subject for training*or with national curriculum subject content for Primary) Maths and English GCSE at grade C or above to include science for Primary. *'Enhancement' courses to boost subject knowledge in physics, chemistry, maths and MFL are available.
