Brookings County Youth Mentoring Program (BCYMP) strives to increase resiliency of young people in our community and add protective factors by building and supporting consistent and encouraging relationships with trained, caring adults. BCYMP grew from a 1999 statewide initiative serving youth in the juvenile justice system. Caring adults in Brookings County quickly realized the efficiency of focusing, instead, on increasing the resiliency and positive social skills of all young people in our community through an evidence-based youth mentoring program. BCYMP is a 501c3 incorporated in April of 2001.
