Established in 2014, Brooklyn Kings Rugby League is New York's representative in the USA Rugby League, America's premier Rugby League competition. Touted as the grandfather of American Football, Rugby League shares many similarities with USA's much loved sport. In short summary there are no pads, no helmets, no forward passes, a running clock, a maximum tackle count of six, and 13 players on each team, all of which play both sides of the ball. Rugby League is the toughest sport on earth with huge hits, massive plays and non-stop action! With a strong, professional presence both on and off the field, the Brooklyn Kings, in just one season, have sent waves throughout the Rugby League world with a powerful brand. Still in it's infancy, Brooklyn Kings Rugby League will continue to build into a prominent, innovative member of the Rugby League and sports world. Mission: To provide Brooklyn and the greater New York City metro area with the opportunity to play, spectate and engage in the sport of Rugby League.
