Dr. Daniel Westawski received his doctor of medicine degree in 1992 from Jefferson Medical College in Pennsylvania. The traditional route to becoming an excellent plastic and reconstructive surgeon was to become a board-certified general surgeon first for a comprehensive surgical background. Dr Westawski completed residency in General Surgery in 1997 at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. From there he proceeded to a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Utah, and then to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for a fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery. He became board certified in General Surgery in 1998, and Board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 2001. The breadth of his education, as well as his regard for his patients, have helped Dr. Westawski establish himself as one of the premier aesthetic plastic surgeons in the region. This is demonstrated in the collaborative approach to treatment with his patients he has developed. He encourages input from his patients to design an aesthetic plan that addresses their individual needs and goals. Though his practice is focused on aesthetic issues relating to cosmetic surgery, he also performs reconstructive procedures to correct aberrations caused by trauma, birth defects, and disease.
