Buckingham Friends School is an independent Quaker day school founded in 1794, with classes in grades kindergarten through eighth grade. It is one of the 12 oldest continuously operating schools in the United States. The school is accredited by the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools (PAIS) and is a member of the Association of Delaware Valley Independent Schools (ADVIS) and the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS). The school's mission is to create a lifelong love of learning, nurture a respect for the Light in every person, and foster a sense of spiritual community.
