Buckle Up was Australia's most popular long-distance carpooling app.The aim was two-fold:1) To make long-distance transport more efficient.2) To create (real) connections.Buckle Up was safe, easy to use and available to everyone with a smartphone. Drivers chose the price to list their seats, passengers chatted to as many drivers as they wanted before booking a ride and all bookings were done in advance. All users (drivers and passengers) were individually verified by the Buckle Up team.In March 2019, the founder of Buckle Up was offered a strange acquihire opportunity which seemed too good to refuse. Now working on a new mobile app in the mobility and sharing economy space which will be released in 2020.
