Buffalo Urban Outdoor Education celebrates true experiential education through hands-on environmental science and personal development programs on the floating classroom, Spirit of Buffalo, and in the classroom during the school year. On this 73' traditionally-rigged schooner, youth engage in interactive science and seamanship Learning Stations, connecting classroom concepts with real-world application, while undergoing profound transformations as learners and individuals through empowering experiences with the aquatic environment. Buffalo Urban Outdoor Education encourages individual growth and discovery through interactive learning and shipboard education. We serve youth and the Great Lakes community - on the water, on the shores and in the classroom.
