We are a young family with two children, who decided to go back home, closer to nature, to traditions and healthy culture."Bunica Maria" means "Grandma Maria", and she was our dear grandmother."Bunica Maria" is a beautiful property, located 200 meters from the Danube River bank-Sf. Gheorghe Arm, in the village of Mahmudia, the gateway to the Danube Delta, Natural Reserve and bird paradise.Built in classical style, following ellements of traditional and rustic design, our location retains the charm of a bygone age, but with all modern facilities at hand and keeping a cosy, relaxing environment. We are looking forward to welcome guests in our 8 rooms, with private bathrooms, air conditioning, TV cable, free Wi-Fi and central heating. You have access to free parking, playground for children in a secure space, outdoor grill, shared kitchen and living room. You can also enjoy our small library or have a nice, quiet dinner on the patio.In the area there are the Bestepe Hills (which translates "5 hills"), on top of which you can admire the entire panorama of the Danube Delta. You can visit historical attractions(Enisala fortress), monasteries(Celic-Dere, Saon, Cocos), museums in Tulcea(The Art Museum, The History Museum etc.) or enjoy birdwatching sessions on the river Danube or on the beautiful lakes nearby.
