The Burundi Film Center (BFC) was launched as a non-profit media development project in the summer of 2007 under a mandate to "Inspire. Educate. Entertain." We have trained over 100 students in film theory, film history, and the production of fiction, documentary and animated films. Our work has played in over 75 international film festivals, winning awards and raising awareness for the tiny East African country.
