Hospitality - Palermo, Sicilia, Italy
Butera 28 Apartments are self-catering apartments located in the historic centre of Palermo in a 18th century palazzo. The palazzo was the last home of Prince Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, the celebrated author of the world-famous novel The Leopard and is now the home of his adopted son who has lovingly restored it to its former splendour. The palazzo faces the wonderful bay of Palermo. It is within walking distance of the most important artistic and tourist attractions, celebrated churches, museums, theatres, colourful market-places, the enchanting Botanical Gardens. Each apartment is beautifully appointed and offers all the modern comforts within a historical backdrop. Sicilian cooking classes are offered and take place in the private part of the palazzo. It is a culinary and cultural experience entailing a visit to the local markets and a hands-on opportunity to prepare and eat the finest dishes from a 4 course Sicilian menu served in the formal dining room facing the sea. Lunch will be followed by a guided tour of the palazzo.
