Translation & Localization - Buenos Aires, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina
b&w Language Services started in 2012 when two classmates of English Public Translation at Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, decided to focus on their future and with a clear objective achieved what they intended. First of all, acquire all the resources that the university could give, get updated in more courses related to translation and go to congresses and conferences to train themselves day by day. Secondly, both had opportunities to travel abroad and live in different places during their studies, which allowed them to strengthen their knowledge and acquire new ones. Finally, achieve what both have dreamt with sheer effort and dedication: graduate from translators and provide the public with an increasingly specialized translation service. Even though during their studies they could pursue what has always been their vocation, it was during 2014 that, being both graduated, they decided, besides translating, to create a place that could offer a wide range of language services. Nowadays, b&w not only offers public and non-public translation services but also technical, scientific and literary; and specializes above all in website translations. Besides, it provides language courses, private lessons (individual and group), and In-Company training. It also offers Spanish classes for foreigners and E-Learning for those wishing to learn from home. In order to achieve all that, Josefina and Melanie also have a team of freelance translators trained in each area and teachers specialized in different languages. Although Josefina currently resides in Canada and Melanie in Buenos Aires, they bet on the growth of b&w in the country where it all began, as well as abroad. Their vision for the future is now to maintain what they have achieved together, and grow and expand day by day. Always with new challenges and keeping foremost a friendship like no other, is how both of them think to provide the best language services to a general public.
