Bytes for Bits is a non profit after school program for elementary and middle school students, teaching the fundamentals of software coding. Our mission is to educate children in a manner that not only develops the necessary STEM skills but also does so within a creative and collaborative environment. We provide a project-based learning environment, allowing the students to learn in a fun and team-building setting and foster their creative abilities. Students are placed in initial tracks by age range and are given the freedom to continue their work outside of the class. They can move between tracks as their skill level and curiosity dictates.Bytes for Bits sessions are held once per week on campus after school, for one hour. The eight week program ends with a 'final project' where the students demonstrate to the class and share with parents.
