Børnecancerfonden er en privat fond stiftet i 1995 af tidligere overlæge Henrik Hertz. Børnecancerfonden er den danske enkeltorganisation, der finansierer mest dansk forskning i børnekræft, for forskning er det bedste håb, vi kan give børn med kræft og deres familier. Hovedparten af fondens midler går derfor til forskning, men vi oplyser også om børnekræft og støtter kræftsyge børn og deres familier direkte med bl.a. legater, rekreationsophold og psykologhjælp.Fonden arbejder alene på baggrund af donationer og gaver fra privatpersoner, virksomheder, foreninger, indsamlinger og andre fonde. -----The Danish Childhood Cancer Foundation is a private foundation established in 1995. The foundation supports the most research in childhood cancer in Denmark – in order to enhance the treatment and thereby the prognosis for children with cancer. Thus, the main part of our funds is allocated to research, but we also support the conditions and care of the children and their families by different activities such as counselling, recreational stays and grants. The foundation works solely on the basis of donations from private contributors, companies, associations, fundraising campaigns and other foundations.
