Transportation - Sellersburg, Indiana, United States
A 1941 issue of the Courier Journal depicts Marvin Kingsbury finishing concrete at the age of 12, referring to the work as "fun," and expressing more interest in concrete than swimming or hunting. And just like he told the reporters on that day, a few years later he began his own concrete business, which he named Kingsbury Concrete Construction. He ran a successful company, and as regulations were lifted, was able to offer transport services for his concrete.\\Eventually the company shifted its focus to bulk transport and was renamed to match the initials of four of Marvin's six children. C-JAMS was ultimately bought by Marvin's son, current owner and CEO Jim Kingsbury. Led by Jim and living out the dedication and quality of service that were important to Marvin's vision, C-JAMS is now a premier bulk transport company of Kentuckiana and the surrounding areas.
