Since the 1980s, billions of people across the globe have been watching television through cable and satellite providers. Back then, only major corporations could afford to produce content for television. Technology has since improved and now thousands of production companies and independent film makers are creating higher quality content for a fraction of the price. Unfortunately, viewers have no access to this content through Cable TV, because the major corporations that control what can be broadcast have very limited time slots, so they only show the content that serves their interests, which is not necessarily what interests viewers.
