Founded in 2010 by Prescott Tong, Cadence Point® is a leading national non-profit organization dedicated to caring and investing in helping children's dreams. Cadence Point's approach focuses on identifying children from disadvantaged backgrounds who have entrepreneurial interests or ideas. Our site operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, taking in donations and accepting business and not-for-profit plans and receives calls from throughout the United States, Canada, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Guam. Cadence Point's programs and services provide funding for students, some as young as sixth graders, to explore their innovative ideas for business products and services. Our programs help students succeed in any enterprise, large or small, for-profit or not-for-profit, domestic or global. Profits generated from their entrepreneurial efforts helps students to pay for their college tuition. Our model of helping students to help themselves instills confidence and helps children to develop life-coping skills that are potentially far more impactful and important than whatever profit they realize from their business activities. As our child entrepreneurs continue to experience success in their business and entrepreneurial efforts, they are able to employ many in their home communities. Cadence Point's programs, with their focus on ‘paying it forward' through local community economic development are first of their kind, and continue to be studied by professionals worldwide as "models that work." Prescott Tong continues to actively lead the organization and provide its vision, serving as CEO and President.
