Cadence is an Israeli rock duo. Ran Zilca (vocals and guitar) and Amir Shwartz (drums and percussion) met in kindergarten at age five. As teenagers in the 80s they formed a band that toured Israel and the Tel Aviv clubs. Their materials back then consisted mostly of of progressive rock with elements of arabic music. After a 30 year hiatus, Zilca and Shwartz reunited their band using the name Cadence, and release their debut album, The Wheels of Time, in 2019, followed by additional singled in English and in Hebrew.Cadence is known for their rich stage performance, incorporating various instruments like electric violin, and for the broad range of topics covered in the song lyrics.
