The mission of Caesar's Ford Theatre, Inc is to educate the public about the history of Ohio and classic literary works through the perfroming arts and educational programs. Ceasar's Ford Theatre, Inc is based in Greene County in southwestern Ohio. There is a wonderful outdoor theatre tradition here. Beginning in the late 1950's, the Antioch Shakespeare Festival produced the entire canon of Shakespeares's plays at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio. The festival was an outdoor summer theatre and became known as 'Shakespeare Under the Stars'. From 1982 through 2007, Greene County, Ohio was home to the historical outdoor drama 'Blue Jacket' which attracted 1.1 million visitors. Caesar's Ford Theatre, Inc, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was founded in 2009 by a gorup of individuals dedicated to the restoration of this outdoor theatre tradition. Ceasar's Ford Theatre, Inc is a planning member fo the Institute of Outdoor Theatre at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina and is a member of the Yellow Springs Arts Council. Caesar's Ford Theatre, Inc is a strong supporter of Ohio Citizen's for the Arts.
