Cafellow is a software platform that connects supply and demand through location-based services and smart matching algorithms. The algorithm works by combining and weighing several search factors into one single match output. This includes binary and fuzzy characteristics as well as the location of possible matches. End users always get the best matches on top.The platform consists of native apps for end users and a web portal for suppliers. A prototype has been thoroughly tested for use in the hospitality industry. As this prototype is now discontinued in this domain the technology is available for new applications. Possible applications of the technology include, but are not limited to:- Find cafes, restaurant and hotels that match complex criteria- Search for flexible work places (based on location, opening hours, meeting room availability, and so on)- Select the best option for a day out (based on weather criteria, size of the party, type of event)The main difference between Cafellow and ‘normal' filters is that the algorithm takes into account all criteria and combines them without ruling out search results based on binary filters. This means that if one search result is only slightly out of range according to one criterion but scores high on the other criteria, it will still be presented as a possible match. To illustrate this with an example: if you search for hotels within 1 km from a city centre with excellent breakfast, friendly personnel and nice atmosphere, you would still want to know it if a wonderful hotel is at 1,1 km from the city centre that matches all your criteria except for the location. Normal filters would rule out the near-perfect match because it is 100 m out of range. Cafellow still shows this result to the user. This provides the user with a much more user-friendly and realistic search-and-find experience. The technology is currently for sale. Please contact Sabine de Milliano for more information.
