Today, many people cannot receive essential medical care because time, distance or finance are insurmountable obstacles. Patients cannot participate in or complete clinical trials or research therapies for the same reasons. Primary care physicians frequently offer referrals instead of treatment, and travel to distant facilities is now a commonplace occurrence. For those without the resources this can be a tremendous burden!CAIR flight is the solution. We are a charitable, Tampa based, Florida Corporation (501c3) offering a unique form of community service. Utilizing the flexibility of general aviation aircraft and generosity of our volunteers in the air and on the ground, we are easily able to reach 90% of the population by flying in and out of community airports not served by the airlines. We coordinate pilots and patients needing travel to non-local facilities throughout Florida (and sometimes beyond). We are "Pilots & Volunteers...lending a hand."
