Security & Investigations - Cincinnati, Ohio, United States
Cal Crim, Inc. was founded in 1913 by David Calvin Crim, retired Chief of Detectives for Cincinnati Police Department, Ora Slater and Paul Ryan. In the early years there were no FBI or state crime units and it was not unusual for a city, county or even state government to retain the services of Cal Crim or his associates to conduct criminal investigations which they considered to be beyond the capabilities of their local police departments. In 1919 Cal Crim was called upon to conduct an investigation of the infamous "Black Sox Scandal". Baseball Commissioner Ban Johnson presented a gold plated life time pass to any major league ball park to Cal in appreciation of his efforts in the investigation.Today, Cal Crim is a full service security and private investigative company providing security guard services, security systems, and private investigations. The current owners are Gregg and Randall Hollenbaugh.
