I offer quality, affordable, group music classes for children and teens, ages 2.5 to 18-years-old. Private lessons are also available for students of any age, and I can even come to you! I particularly specialize–and am quite well-experienced–in Daycare and Preschool classes, ages ranging from 2 – 8 years old, y también hablo español (hace quince años).Regular group classes are divided-up age-appropriately, and focus on nurturing a budding curiosity for music into a complex and practical understanding of music theory and its practical applications! I integrate social skills such as group interaction, communication, negotiation, and mutual respect into each class, catering and adapting my approaches based on each particular group's age and skill set. I have over 6 years of occupational experience working with young children (not counting my lifetime of experience as the oldest brother of 5 boys), and have been studying music for 20 years.My prices are highly competitive, and my availability is currently quite flexible.I let personal musical preferences guide the class direction, and always start with music that the student already enjoys and prefers. I would rather usher students into a capacity to write and improvise their own original music than teach them the songs required to play in a local cover band.
