Caledonian Conservation Ltd provides a range of ecology and ornithology services for development and conservation projects in Scotland. Through experience gained working for Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and Local Authority we are able to identify the optimal and most cost effective approach to any site, benefiting both the client and local ecology. Through our highly experienced staff and networked of expert Associates, we are able to provide specialist robust and defensible ecology services. Services can be provided for any development or conservation project, with particular experience in onshore wind, mineral extraction, power lines, forestry, conservation research and management. We provide services for all stages of development, including ecological feasibility studies, ecology and ornithology baseline surveys, scoping, Collision Risk Modelling, Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA), Habitat Management and Monitoring Plans (HMMPs), discharge of planning conditions, Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) and post-consent monitoring. Clients include developers, environmental NGOs, statutory nature conservation organisations and other consultancies. We hold licences for all Schedule 1 bird species for all of Scotland, great crested newts for all of Scotland and also provide specialist botanical, habitat, invertebrate, reptile and protected mammal services (including bats).
